Ice is a solid, downright brat. He's a very fussy horse, if something doesn't go his way he'll turn his nose in the air and let out a little flehmen, exposing his distaste. Ice can also be very opinionated - if he doesn't like you, you're guaranteed to be off his back in a second, or you can guarantee you'll be chased around the paddock like a horse refusing to come inside instead of the latter. One of the funny quirks about this colt is that he loves to fart when he's super excited before a race or workout - something everyone at Firestone has grown to laugh about since they've never seen anything like it before. He does stall weave when he is bored, so we like to give Ice as much turnout time complying that he will cooperate with the staff when its turn in time. Unlike his fellow stablemates, he's absolutely terrified of Barely Smokin's companion animals - he absolutely hates anything smaller than a racehorse! We have to keep him on the completely separate side of the farm just so he won't quiver in his hooves. He may come off as an intimidating brat, but he is just a scared baby at heart.
LEG TYPE: MID-PACK
On the track, Ice is a like a bomb waiting to go off. He's definitely a stud and he makes sure everyone knows it. Ice is extremely vocal and, well, flatulent around the stable area, so we like to keep him away from all the commotion if possible. Once his hooves hit the turf, he's ready to jump out of the gates like a cat, but he doesn't always shoot to the front. With a little help from his jockey, they settle into the middle where Ice is comfortable and where he can easily scoot out of a box. Being a long distance runner, he does like to conserve his energy and while he may not be the tallest in the field, his limber legs are full of stamina and are ready to extend whenever asked. Ice is a very responsive horse when he's not being a brat, and that's what makes him easy to control on the track. Around the final turn is when he'll usually make his move, opening up his stride and swinging out two wide when needed, or he can even squeeze against the inside rail if there's enough room.
