Y10 Grey (Bay) Mare Standing 16.3 Hands High
By the sire of Georgie's Girl, Prima Donna, Hot Looks, In The Spotlight, and Flawless Majesty.
Half-sister to Get Loose, Deathflash's Truth, Truth Teller, and True Sunrise.
PERSONALITY
Contrary to what one would expect of an animal that has been shuffled around a great deal, Leah seems to have become more mellow and focused than she once was. Instead of getting wired and nervous about new surroundings, she's intense, pretty much blocking out and ignoring the things that once caused her stress. It also means that it is very hard for her to get attached to humans, and the staff will have their work cut out for them to gain her trust. She has been making the first steps, though, and seems to enjoy the company of the youngstock trainer, Minske, who has taken the time to lavish some attention on her. So she is not cold, just guarded, and a little anti-social, understandably. She gets along with the other horses alright, neither fighting to the top nor picking crumbs at the bottom. She is comfortable enough on her own, but won't push away equine company as long as they don't try to push her around. She refuses to be forced by those of her species, and will put them in their place if they try. She's not aggressive, but she is firm, and it has made her all the more comfortable. On the track, her intensity only amplifies, though it doesn't seem she's been able to get rid of pre-race jitters. It's normal for her to have a sheen of sweat going into the gate. She does her best works in company, as she seems to respond with doubled effort if they try to beat her out.
LEG TYPE: STALKER
While she may seem nervous and anxious going into the gate, Leah ceases all excess movement once she's loaded. She is intensely focused, and often breaks extremely well. She'll let the leaders move on ahead and settle behind the front group, content to let the race unfold early on. When she does make her move, it is with great enthusiasm and dominating focus. She will take even the slightest hole given to her, accelerating through gaps and pushing her way to the front. She prefers to run away with a race, though she is very driven in nose-to-nose situations heading toward the wire.
